Welcome to the 3rd Trimester

Today marks the beginning of the 3rd trimester. I have made it to 28 weeks! The picture below was taken a few days ago though. The decaf isn't working too well this morning so I really cannot think of anything else to say.

Closet Dividers

In searching for a way to help organize the closet in the nursery, I decided to make some closet dividers. I printed up labels on my sticker paper from Newborn through 2T and then went downstairs to my crafting lair and got to work. The pictures I have are from before they were laminated. I then punched 2 holes near the top, strung some green ribbon through them and tied them to the closet rod. They turned out quite well if I do say so myself!

I am trying to refrain from putting up too many pictures until the nursery looks closer to being finished. The completed dividers in the closet will be in those sets of pictures. I must be getting back to finishing dinner now.

First nursery pics

I really started working on the nursery yesterday. Unpacking, doing laundry, organizing the closet, buying shelves, etc... As you know Dave has been working on the nursery for over a week. Painting, measuring and cutting chair railing, setting up the crib, etc... Today our work coincided and we both did a lot to really get the ball rolling. Granted it doesn't look like much right now, but we have made some serious headway. The mattress is on the way so we can get the crib all ready soon and we also found a dresser/changing table that is also on the way.

Anyway, here are some pictures of our new shelves, chair railing, glider rocker from Jen and the newly organized closet.

Green shelves w/ lots of books already!

Glider Rocker with quilt and new ottoman covering.

Baby overload

It has been awhile since I've had a chance to sit down and blog. I was in MI in mid-June for Becky's bridal shower, came back to CO, a week later my parents and sister Amy came in for the week, we drove back to MI for a week and a half, had our baby shower, Becky & Ben got married then Dave and I drove back to CO....in a nutshell. Needless to say things have calmed down a bit here and will remain that way until Baby R. arrives. After that our lives will never be the same again!

My wonderful husband painted the nursery while I was at my parents house and now he is working on getting the chair railing cut, painted and put on the walls. After that we can start arranging and decorating the nursery. We had to rent a trailer to get back all of the stuff we received for the little one from my sister-in-laws, Jen and Sharon, and from all our friends and family at the baby shower. I will have to write separate blogs about the shower and Becky's wedding b/c those both deserve their own attention.

The main reason for this blog is to post pictures of our new Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper, which is our baby gift from my parents. This particular co-sleeper acts a play yard, bassinet and co-sleeper all in one. We liked it better than the Pack n' Plays because the weight limits are higher and they also attach to your bed to make it more secure. It arrived today in perfect condition and I set it up in our room to get the animals used to it. It will probably get pretty annoying until the baby comes, but it is better to get your pets used to all the baby stuff in advanced.

Anyway, below are some pictures and stay tuned for our nursery progress.

Set up as a play yard

Set up as a co-sleeper

How it will be attached (we've ordered leg extenders so it will actually be bed height).

24 weeks

This will be quick since my parents and Amy are both visiting this week and I don't want to be on the computer all day.

I have not heard back from my Dr.'s office about my glucose test and according to them no news is good news. Yeah! The little one likes to kick mostly at night and since I get up 2-3 times that gives me plenty of time to enjoy these acrobatics. I skipped the whole "flutters" stage and went straight to the good stuff with this kid.

Anyway, below is my 24 week belly. Only 16 more weeks!
